MercuryLab can help you and your employees to gain a wide range of valuable skills relevant to the handling of bulk solids and other particulate media. We offer a wide range of courses which can be broadly categorised into two main areas: simulation & computations and characterisation methods.

Simulation and computational modelling of particle-handling systems

Learn everything from basic programming skills to cutting-edge particle simulation methods which you can apply to model, improve, design and optimise your particle- handling systems.

The ability to simulate your own industrial systems can vastly improve your capacity to optimise the operation of your facility, saving time and money, and getting your products to market faster.

Particle and powder characterisation methods

In order for a process to run optimally, and remain free of unwanted clogging, demixing or other undesirable effects, a knowledge of the characteristics of the materials you handle is vital. We can help you with devices and methods through which to accurately characterise the properties of your materials.

The physical properties of particulate media can vary greatly across different products; understanding these properties is crucial to understanding and improving industrial processes.
